Introducing Quasar
My name is Quasar. I understand that my namesake is highly energetic, and is fed by lots of matter being sucked into a black hole. Yep, that's me!

I was born on June 19th, 2011, at Blue Cedar Sport Dogs. My sire is named Turtle, and my dam is My Newt. That means I'm about 50% border collie, 30% border terrier, 12% parson russell terrier, and 8% staffordshire bull terrier. My poor owner has no idea what he's signed up for.
The theory behind my breeding is that I'm smart, athletic, have a good personality, and will be small. I'm not fully grown yet, but I should end up being around 15" tall at the shoulders, and maybe 25lbs. 25lbs of pure squirrel devouring fury! Oh wait, I'm supposed to be about dog sports, like flyball and agility, and maybe some nosework and disc. I guess I can fit those in to my schedule somewhere.
Back on the weekend of October 16th, 2011 (by happy chance, his birthday!) my owner drove all the way from Portland, Oregon down to Pahrump, Nevada to get me. He spent a few hours meeting the people and dogs I'd grown up with, then we both got in his car and off we went!

At first I wasn't very happy about leaving everyone I'd known and wasn't sure about this new guy, and I didn't like these strange places or the concept of a leash and collar.

But the next day we got to my new home, and I got to meet my owner's nephew:

And I got to meet my new big sister, Karma. She sort of looks like me, just bigger!

We've got a big yard to play in, and there are lots of trees. That means squirrels!
